Knit Project for CADS 3750

Mainly inspired off of the beach I grew up going to Sunset Beach, North Carolina, I wanted to create a piece that reminded me of the town.

As my first full-knit project I created a dress with a low back and neckline that extended out to the shoulders farther than average. With bell-shaped sleeves, I lengthened the sleeves for a loose fit for wearability as a beach cover-up. Lastly, I added black silk ribbon to the shoulder seams to tie on the back to provide more support for the dress staying on the shoulders.
