After Hours

After Hours is a line created to express the feminine aura of a woman through her figure. As a designer, music has always inspired me in different aspects of my life but mainly through my design. I can hear a song and envision exactly what I would want to wear or see others wearing. The song ‘After Hours’ by The Weeknd has inspired my line to show off what a women wears ‘after hours’. The line is a thought-out mix between intimates and formal wear that a woman can wear after her work day. Whether ‘she’ is going out to a club or event, having a night to herself, or having casual drink with her girlfriends or significant other there is a look for her. To emphasize a woman’s body in my ideal way, I wanted to focus on empowering the body in a mature yet scandalous way. A woman wearing this collection will be viewed as successful, powerful and strong with a sense of intimidation behind her to her peers. The customer has options to create the looks as scandalous or as conservative as she would like, but it still shows off a woman’s curves and natural aspects of her body. With the presentation of this senior collection, I hope it comes off as a empowering womenswear line for everyone to feel like their best self in.
